Which mechanisms and cells should we target?

We study how nutrient stress, metabolic reprogramming and intercellular communication shape tumor immunity. Our work connects amino acid starvation, alternative nutrient acquisition and extracellular vesicle signaling to immune recruitment.

Our research agenda extends to glutamine and ammonia metabolism, CD8+ T-cell dysfunction, mitochondrial transfer, and metabolic interactions between tumor and immune cells.

How do we reach the right tissue and cell?

We engineer responsive and biomimetic nanocarriers to turn biological targets into actionable treatment strategies. Engineered extracellular vesicles, polymersomes and nano-PROTAC systems connect selective delivery with immune modulation.

Our platform goals include LNPs and liposomes for RNA, protein and small-molecule delivery; tumor and immune-cell targeting; and understanding how the protein corona shapes nanoparticle fate.

& Precision Therapy

Can treatment act only where and when it is needed?

We use light as an external switch to regulate drug activity, release and cellular signaling. Our work spans optical control of mTOR and CDK4/6, and nano-PROTAC combinations with mitochondria-dependent photodynamic therapy.

We aim to integrate photoresponsive platforms with EVs, LNPs and immunotherapy to control ROS, metabolism, immunogenic cell death and local immune activation.
